Karla DeVito’s 1981 album

Singer Karla DeVito is delighted to announce that the title song from her 1981 album “Is This a Cool World or What?” is featured in fashion design house Moschino‘s new January 2020 videos captured by renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel. The Moschino videos spoof a concert with television personality Tyra Banks introducing a girl band called Moschinorama rocking Karla’s song “Is This a Cool World or What?” while wearing Moschino Spring/Summer 2020 fashions. The featured singers in the band lip-syncing to Karla’s lyrics are super models Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam and Bella Hadid. Get the details on the spectacular styling of the production here.

Karla DeVito became an international sensation as the woman who manhandled Meat Loaf on the Bat Out of Hell world tour for the album by the same name written by Jim Steinman. She went on to become one of MTV’s first video stars and a popular performer on Youtube, recording two solo albums “Is This A Cool World or What?” and “Wake ‘Em Up in Tokyo” – plus the hit single “We Are Not Alone” for the movie The Breakfast Club. She is married to her artistic collaborator Robby Benson and co-starred with him in the movie Modern Love. They met when they were cast as romantic leads in the Gilbert & Sullivan opera, Pirates of Penzance on Broadway.
